David Contreras has been filmed in a documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation. His clients have been featured on Dr. Phil. He his currently a part of the Mix 94.7, Bridget & Carey Happy Hour Show's, Makeover 911, GLAM SQUAD.

Philosophy

I am not here to "Get you in & get you out," I am here to "get you in & get it right for you." At DJC Salon in my private studio everyone’s a celebrity. You’ll get the time, detail, and one on one attention, so that together our goal is met to make you look and feel extraordinary. “Whether it’s one hour for a haircut or seven hours for hair extensions my time is spent committed to you.”

Experience

I have specialized in hair coloring for the last fourteen years. Color placement and color selection, which are two of the most important factors in corrective color, are my expertise.

Whether it is a haircut, hair color, highlights, hair extension or hair replacement, I have a precise eye for detail. For the past eleven years I have worked independently in Austin. The four years prior to that I was emplyed by Toni & Guy in Austin and Dallas on both their educational and management team.

I was one of the top three chemical technicians with Toni & Guy in the United States. I apprenticed under Rowena Cuttruzzola, American Salon's 1997 Haircolorist of The Year.
